Mining
We are a company specialized in the development of mineral processing routes, being the only company in Brazil with expertise in biotechnological routes, which allows the recovery of copper and other metals from oxidized ores and sulfide, as well as the pre-treatment of ores and refractory gold concentrates and cianicides removal before the cyanidation process.
Bacterial leaching processes ("bioleaching") have been shown as a solution up to 50% cheaper in terms of operating costs than conventional processes for the extraction of precious and base metals from ores, especially those with low levels or called refractory ores. They are cheaper processes because they use simpler solutions, making it more attractive and enabling many enterprises.
We are focused on developing processes and technology, in studies of characterization of the ore, tailings and effluents, in bench testing and pilot plants, and we participate in the sampling plan, route processes and basic parameters definitions for the development of industrial facilities projects and customer support for pre-operation and operation.

BioMIDAS
BioMIDAS was developed by Itatijuca Biotech for biotechnological mineral processing, and allows recovery of copper and other metals from sulphide and oxide ores as well as the pretreatment of refractory gold ores and concentrates prior to cyanidation process. BioMIDAS can also be used to solve environmental problems such as contamination by arsenic and acid mine drainage. BioMIDAS has many advantages over traditional treatment processes such as pyrolysis, oxidation under pressure and the traditional chemical leaching.

Modular plant
The products BioMIDAS Reactors or BioMIDAS Heaps are modular and can be easily integrated into existing structures as plant flotation and cyanidation. The BioMIDAS plants are also easily scalable, allowing for a rapid increase in the volume processed.
